"I'm so fortunate to be able to help folks tap into the best of themselves. I photograph actors, CEOs Drs, Brides and Grooms, authors, artists, fish, kids and a joyous, beautiful and proud 103 year old woman!"

"I photograph pretty much anyone who has a head." Jinsey says.

"In my book, everyone's a kid, no matter what age!" says Jinsey, who started her biz by photographing children when she was 14 yrs old. "Kids don't stay still, you kidding me? I follow their lead - they're always moving so I'm in the moment versus making the moment! They're quick to explore and I love all that refreshing curiosity! I'm so lucky to be able to go on that trip with them!"

Jinsey certainly is a kid at heart.

"Each shoot session was an athletic event and the pictures showed that. They were full of life and action!” Jinsey translates that vibrancy in every facet of her photography. “I catch people alive and in the now. I catch that wonderful spirit in people."

Says Casting Direct Anita Guerra, "However she does it, whether it’s by relaxing people or her use of lighting, Jinsey has the ability to catch people in the candid moment when they are relaxed and their eyes, which have to communicate 90% of the personality, have a bright and alert look to them even if the person is not smiling."

Jinsey has been at both ends of the camera. In addition to running her photography business, she became an Elite and then Ford model and has been on the covers of Vogue, Life, Bride’s and American Health. She also acted in commercials - over 50 including Coca Cola, Jamaica, Levis jeans, Nestle’s Quick, Red Lobster, Aqua Fresh, Dimetapp, Easy-Off and Palmolive and she also won a Clio award.

How she became a top Headshot photographer: "A friend of mine needed to update her Headshot. I said I'd love to shoot it! At the time, my apartment was being renovated and we had no walls. The natural light streaming in was perfect. The shots were beautiful - she loved them and her new Headshot landed her an audition for an ABC show."

Mari Lyn Henry, head Casting Director at ABC, called Jinsey to talk to her about her work. "Was she talking about my commercials? Nope, she was talking about my photography and wanted to see more of my work the following week. Over the weekend my entire acting class came over for photo sessions which gave me the work I needed to show Mari Lyn and gave my friends new Headshots. Ever since then I’ve been busy." Jinsey says.

Attending North Carolina’s Wake Forest University, she didn’t just take photography classes. She taught them. She studied film production, psychiatry, and began modeling the summer before her senior year all the while keeping up with her photography.

Jinsey has another important side to her that has taught her a lot about photography. She is an athlete - volleyball, softball and in the Broadway league, surfing, tennis, golf, and played basketball in college. It’s that moment of action that she loves to capture and she knows it well. “Catch that climax of the game, that moment when the ball leaves the player’s hands and you’ve caught the excitement of life. Catch that same spirit in a Headshot, and you’ve really connected.”

Jinsey shoots in her warm and welcoming New York city apartment versus a cold, steely studio. "I really love using natural light. No more holes in the walls, but I do have 18ft windows facing the Hudson River. I'm on the 49th floor which gives me awesome light no matter the weather. The three of us, my assistant and I and my client, have a blast listening to music and photographing. People leave here happy."

These days Jinsey is photographing lots of Internet daters. In fact, "Inside Edition" and "New York" magazine featured her unique style of shooting.

"One of my favorite things about the Internet Daters' sessions is how they react to their photographs. Teary-eyed and excited they tell me, how wonderful it is to have people finally see their real selves for the first time."

"It doesn't get any better than that!"

Besides photographing people, she's also passionate about her Fine Art photography. Jinsey's work is sexy, colorful, vibrant and evocative. As prominent interior designer Erika Del Priore describes, “Jinsey's Fine Art work is like Georgia O'Keefe's - if she was on acid."

Jinsey currenty has 20 large-scale pieces installed in a Tribeca office. She's happy to give you a fun walk thru.

"Contact me if you have anything to photograph. I'm ready to go!"
