Taking celebrity portraits and fashion spreads in New York City professionally since '85, Jinsey's true love of photography began as early as eighth grade. "I did kids' portraits then," explains Dauk. "but the kids wouldn't sit still. It was the last thing they wanted to do. I had to follow them around -- inside, out side --like a moving camera. It wasn't easy, but the pictures came out full of life." That's why today Dauk doesn't need her subjects to sit still. "I catch people alive, in the now. I catch that spirit in people."

With that documentary way of thinking, Jinsey naturally became attracted to wedding photography. "When the fashion editor of Bride's Magazine asked me to photograph her own wedding in 1994, the result was an unprecedented large format, two page, twelve picture spread!" Her enthusiasm for the passion and excitement of the day spills over into the images themselves.

has been featured over 30 times in many national magazines as you can see on her constantly updated: web site. www.jinsey.com. "The web site is a wonderful resource. It's easy for people to see my photos whenever they want! Brides & Grooms to be don't always have time to get to my studio to view my work, but they can view my on-line portfolio from their own home." Jinsey's web site is not only a great help to her clients, but it has also broadened her territory. She has gotten hits from "Spain to Hawaii" (144,269 hits last year) and is traveling all over the world to shoot weddings.

Jinsey's wedding photography is unique. In order to
make all generations happy, she shoots both color and black & white photos, and she shoots both equally as well! "To me, the black & whites offer a sense of nostalgia and romantic timelessness. They inspire the kind of emotions we feel when we look at the photo albums of our parents and grandparents. Color on the other hand, offers sparkle and newness! It can't help but show off all the hard work put into the beautiful flowers, bride's maids' dresses, food, decorations etc...."

Couples who have shot with Jinsey love the fact that she is able to take advantage
of existing and natural light, whether indoors or outdoors. "There is a wonderful environmental feel to our pictures--a realistic filmic quality," one client wrote. Her shoot is as individual as the wedding itself, creating a free and improvisational atmosphere.
